Our very Own Olympic Champion Abhinav Bhindra ( I wish I could write his name in Gold)

This seems to be a week of heroes. Abhinav Bhindra has made every Indian's heart swell with pride. From all of us here ( no harm in pretending there's a bunch o people behind this blog;)) congratulations Abhinav !!! God bless you. May good things happen to you & do take care of yourself amidst all that is happening around you now. Here are some interesting tid bits about this Olympic Champion:

1. At 15, he was the youngest participant of the 1998 Commonwealth Games.

2. Birthday: September 28, 1983

3. Recipient of the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna award for 2001.

4. In 2006 became the first Indian to win a world championship gold.

5. Shot the Olympic Gold for the 10 M Air Rifle event. In other words, he is the first person to bring a Gold for India in individual events. ( Yaaay !!! Yaay!!! Yaaay!!!)

6. Is a Punjab ki Puttar.
