Two reasons to be Veg!!!

There are definitely some advantages to being vegetarian. For one you become more alert. Meat tends to make you sluggish...I would like to cite an example here. Look at the king of the jungle, the lion. The lion eats a deer or zebra and then remains inactive for days unhtil he becomes hungry again. One reason is that meat takes more time to get digested. And now look at a cow. The cow eats grass and keeps moving slowly & eating & moving. Green leafy stuff digests faster.
You also lose weight...since the fat content in veggies is much less almost nil ( hey I ain't sure about the exact content of fat, but do know it's marginal)!!!

Not true. :) I was a vegetarian for four years and kept gaining weight whenever my job got too cushy. The moment i switched to a moderately non veg diet , my rate of weight gaining dropped. Then i began to loose weight.

Maybe it works only for me , i think i ate a lot quantity vise during my veggie years.

Hi there Carbonmono!!!..interesting to note that u lost weight by eating non veg!! Or rather gained weight by becoming veggie...
I've noticed that whenever I do go on these veggie sprees ,I tend to develop a craving for sweet things which I usually don't have...and this can be detrimental to the ultimate goal...
Thanks for penning your thoughts here..:)
