"Divorces are not a result of Western influence. At the end of the day, it is we who decide our worth. Marriage is not when one completes the other but is when both share their completeness." So replied Parvathy Omanakuttan on being queried whether Western influence was the cause of the rate of divorce increasing in India. This clinched the tiltle for her and she was crowned Miss India World 2008. This Malayali girl who was born in Kottayam has been crowned the First Runner Up of Miss World 2008 at Johannesburg, South Africa on 13 December 2008. Her hobbies include listening to music, dancing, glass painting, reading, playing basketball and badminton.
